{"id":160,"date":"2020-04-25T20:21:41","date_gmt":"2020-04-26T00:21:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hungrychooi.com\/?p=160"},"modified":"2020-11-02T22:43:39","modified_gmt":"2020-11-03T02:43:39","slug":"anzac-biscuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hungrychooi.com\/index.php\/2020\/04\/25\/anzac-biscuits\/","title":{"rendered":"Anzac Biscuits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Austalian\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anzac Biscuits (or &#8220;cookies&#8221;)!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prep Time: 20 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cook Time: 15 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Total Time: 35 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">180 (12.5 Tbsp) grams of butter, melted<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup of all-purpose flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup of sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup of unsweetened desiccated coconut<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 cup of rolled oats<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 Tbsp of golden syrup<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tsp of baking soda<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\/4 tsp of salt<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heat the oven to 350F (180C). Line a baking tray with baking paper. Set aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a small saucepan, melt the butter over a medium heat. Add the golden syrup and baking soda to the butter and stir well. Remove from heat and set aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mix together the flour, oats, sugar, desiccated coconut and salt in a mixing bowl.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add the melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon to combine ingredients.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roll about 1 1\/2 tablespoons of dough into small balls and flatten between the palms of your hands. Place dough on baking tray about 4 cm (1.5&#8243;) apart to allow room for spreading.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bake the biscuits for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
