{"id":140,"date":"2016-09-09T23:01:03","date_gmt":"2016-09-10T03:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hungrychooi.com\/?p=140"},"modified":"2016-09-09T23:02:51","modified_gmt":"2016-09-10T03:02:51","slug":"140","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hungrychooi.com\/index.php\/2016\/09\/09\/140\/","title":{"rendered":"Soba Noodles with Sweet Onions and Fried Egg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Serves 2<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extra-virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1 1-inch knob of ginger<\/li>\n<li>2 onions, thinly sliced<\/li>\n<li>6 ounces soba noodles<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>3 tablespoons soy sauce, plus more for drizzling<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon honey<\/li>\n<li>Cilantro leaves, for sprinkling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PREPARATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat until hot.<\/li>\n<li>Add the sliced onion, season with salt and cook, stirring occasionally, until very soft and starting to brown, 15-20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, peel the ginger: Hold the knob in one hand, then hold a spoon in\u00a0the other hand and use the edge to scrape off the ginger peel. Finely grate the\u00a0ginger; you will need about 2 teaspoons. Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the soba noodles and cook until tender\u00a0according to package directions.
